為了提升大眾對海洋保育重要性的認識，海洋委員會海洋保育署於112年規劃「海洋保育虛擬實境（VR）展示計畫」，利用VR技術讓民眾如身歷其境般體驗海洋環境與保育教育，從多元角度關注海洋議題。
       本計畫分為兩大部分：360環景VR影視實景拍攝「海洋環境體驗-海酷劇場」與互動體感遊戲「潛海戰將-海廢遊戲」。
       「海洋環境體驗-海酷劇場」設計高達8K畫質的360影音，聚焦海洋廢棄物現況與整治方案，同時深度記錄臺灣沿海、近海及外洋的生態系與地貌。拍攝七個主題，涵蓋臺灣全國差異顯著的海洋環境，並收錄24個地點的超高畫質360照片。主題包括：

◼ 臺灣東部大洋
◼ 全臺灣海岸地貌
◼ 認識臺灣海廢現況
◼ 潛海戰將淨海任務
       「潛海戰將-海廢遊戲」以Unity開發的沉浸式VR遊戲，玩家扮演「潛海戰將」，進入污染場域清除海洋廢棄物。透過第一人稱視角，體驗清理廢棄物的過程，恢復清澈海水與豐富生態，引導思考海洋廢棄物的處理及減量。
       本案採購HTC最新型虛擬眼鏡「HTC VIVE XR Elite」，（由臺灣知名大廠HTC宏達電子，在臺灣生產）將上述內容整合為VR App，結合互動虛擬導覽技術，提供高度互動與深度沉浸的體驗，達到教育與訓練的目的。期望民眾透過這些體驗，深刻感受海洋廢棄物的危害與海洋生態的多樣性，進一步關注海洋保育。

Abstract
To enhance public awareness of the importance of marine conservation, the Ocean Conservation Administration of the Ocean Affairs Council has planned the “Marine Conservation Virtual Reality (VR) Exhibition Project” for 2023. This project utilizes VR technology to provide an immersive experience of marine environments and conservation education, encouraging a multifaceted understanding and concern for marine issues.
The project is divided into two main parts: the 360-degree VR video“Marine Environment Experience - Cool Ocean Theater” and the interactive sensory game “Underwater Warriors - Marine Debris Game.”
Marine Environment Experience - Cool Ocean Theater
This segment features 8K high-definition 360-degree videos focusing on the current state of marine debris and its remediation while deeply documenting the diverse ecosystems and landscapes of Taiwan’s coastal, nearshore, and offshore areas. Seven thematic videos have been designed, covering various distinct marine environments across Taiwan, along with 24 high-definition 360 photos. The themes include:
• Taiwan Pingtung Haikou Seagrass Bed
• Taiwan Outlying Island Coral Reefs
• Northern Taiwan Algal Reefs
• Eastern Taiwan Open Ocean
• Coastal Geomorphology of Taiwan
• Understanding the Current Status of Marine Waste in Taiwan
• Underwater Waste Cleaning by Diving Warriors
Underwater Warriors - Marine Debris Game
This immersive VR game, developed using Unity, allows players to become“Underwater Warriors,” entering polluted areas to clean up marine debris. Through a first-person perspective, players experience the process of clearing debris, restoring clear waters, and reviving marine life. This activity aims to provoke thoughts on waste management and source reduction.
The project also involves the acquisition of HTC’s latest VR headset, the“HTC VIVE XR Elite.”（which was made in Taiwan by the manufacturer of High Tech Computer Corporation）The created content will be integrated into a VR App using interactive virtual tour technology, providing a highly interactive and immersive experience for education and training purposes. The goal is for participants to deeply feel the impact of marine debris and appreciate the rich biodiversity of marine environments, thereby fostering a concern for marine conservation.
