The Ocean Affairs Council announced the “Types and Areas of the wildlife Important Habitat for the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin” on May 27, 2020. The total area of the important habitat for the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin is 763 km²,covering four municipalities/counties (cities): Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, and Yunlin.
