To increase international exchanges on marine conservation, the OCA’s Chief Secretary Tien-Shang Lin and staff member Yu-Chen Chen visited Palau from October 28 to November 1, 2019. They visited one government agency and six mixed public/private and private organizations for exchanges on marine conservation issues. They were welcomed in Palau and provided extensive conservation experience and information. Palau’s Island Times published Taiwan Ocean Affairs Council’s hard work on international marine policies on November 1, 2019. OCA Chief Secretary Lin visited Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) and met with the CEO. Chief Secretary Lin also visited the Center’s Palau Aquarium to learn about Palau National Marine Sanctuary’s (PNMS) research results. Long-term future cooperation and exchanges on marine conservation are expected.
