APEC “the 11th Ocean and Fisheries Working Group (OFWG) Conference” held at Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea from August 6 to August 7, 2018

A total of 14 economic bodies attended this conference. This conference was organized during the food security week in response to the APEC’s theme of “using tolerance and opportunities to welcome a digital future.” This OFWG conference focused on the promotion of sustainable fishery management to promote food security. The economic bodies reported their development after the 10th conference. Taiwan reported to the attending economic bodies regarding the establishment of the Ocean Affairs Council’s Ocean Conservation Administration, which is responsible for marine environment pollution, marine waste, and marine wildlife conservation.
